Walking Well After AVN Surgery

I'm walking well and thankful that I can finally put 100% of my weight on my feet. The walker gives me plenty of confidence, in case I would falter. That hasn't happened and I sure hope that it won't.

We're in the midst of packing up our house to move. I didn't help much until this week. I parked in front of a book case and packed books into boxes. They were lower shelves and so I didn't have to stretch to reach the books. Even so, my wrists with AVN, swelled and throbbed.
Wearing the wrist braces made the pain worse, so I just tried to not twist the joints. I've used some ice packs and that helped a little. I have nothing to do until I meet another wrist surgeon in our new town.
My pain isn't the only thing slowing me down. My knee and thigh on the left side are very swollen. It seems like maybe fluid? The left side is the side operated on on March 13. After surgery, the thigh was huge and hard. Fluid leaked out of it for quite a while, and then it suddenly stopped.
I left a message with the surgeon's nurse, asking about it. I just read that she wants me to see the doctor and then watch for any signs of a blood clot. I haven't had any pain, redness, or heat.
So, I'll go to urgent care in the morning to make sure everything's okay. If it's Lipedema I'm sure that there are many things to try. Losing weight is always an important part of good health. My entire body is a mess.
Well, I'll see what the doctor says tomorrow. I hope that I won't need any new tests. I feel like the need to rest is the most important thing. Have you ever experienced anything like this after surgery?
I hope you all have a good weekend.

I'm so glad there is light at the end of the tunnel. It's so easy to loose hope when you feel so bad and out of control of your life. All the best with the move.
This is such great news that you are walking. Just try not to push yourself too much.
