A Surprising Aura

In the last ten days I've been riding in the car for 1,300 miles. I took antibiotics to cure an UTI, which worked. It was also a mind-blowing time of fun with my grandkids. They were so sweet and really loved having us there.
After arriving home last night, I was beat. We were greeted by an ecstatic dog and a home-cooked meal from our youngest child. This morning I had a very swollen face and eyes, but my ankle wasn't too bad. I struggled every day with edema in my surgically repaired left ankle and calf.
I was so surprised today, after a shower, to immediately have a full-blown Aura without migraine. I had these many years ago, but have only had tiny auras the last few years. Today, I had the full shining round shape with flashing lights. Then, an uneven shape entered the circle. At the end, the shape became a c shape and was flashing.

We turned off the lights and I closed my eyes. I started shaking inside and out, and I was shocked that this was happening. I'm thankful that I don't have the migraines anymore. The auras are really disturbing, because I can't think of anything that could have caused them, other than being tired.
The aura only lasted about five minutes, but it was still scary. My body does so many bizarre things. If you live with a chronic illness, you know what I mean. So many symptoms don't even have a known cause and the doctors just shrug.
As much as I want to get up and unpack everything, I need to take the rest of the day off. My body gives me demands and I need to obey. Anytime I push it, I always regret it. I hope that you're having some relaxing times this summer. It's best to practice pacing, but it's not always possible.
Take care of yourself, as best you can.
